We take the whole category, not the profitable parts of it. Working, dead, ancient, water-damaged — it all gets processed the same way. Below is the full list, what carries a screen fee, and the short list of things we genuinely can’t handle.

Screens carry a small fee
Displays are the one category that costs money to process rather than making it. Leaded CRT glass and panel recycling both carry real downstream cost, so screens are priced separately. Everything else on this page is covered by the pickup rate.
Screen & TV disposal fees
Monitors, TVs, plasmas, and CRTs carry a per-unit recycling fee on top of your pickup or drop-off — leaded glass and hazardous components require special handling and EPA-compliant disposal.
Fees apply equally to individual and business customers. For pickups, these are in addition to the $99 individual pickup fee. For businesses with 25+ items, screen fees are the only cost for that portion of your load.
Add-ons & extras
Optional services available on top of your pickup. All prices include tax and labor.
Individually serialized certificate per drive or device for audit, compliance, or your own records. Required for HIPAA / regulated data in most cases.

Before you hand over a phone or tablet
This is the single most common problem we run into, and it is unfixable after the fact.
Log out of your Apple ID or Google account BEFORE you recycle your phone.
If you hand us a phone that's still signed into iCloud or a Google account, it's Activation Locked (Apple) or FRP-locked (Google's Factory Reset Protection). The device can't be reset, can't be resold, and can't be reused by anyone — its reuse value drops to zero. A perfectly working phone becomes a paperweight and ends up shredded for scrap metal when it didn't need to be.
Then Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Erase All Content and Settings.
Then Settings → System → Reset options → Erase all data (factory reset).
Forgot the password? Deal with it before you wipe the phone — once it's factory-reset with the account still attached, recovery is nearly impossible without the original credentials, and even Apple and Google support can't always help.
What we can’t take
Short list, and we’ll usually know somewhere that can.
Large appliances
Fridges, washers, dryers, ranges. Sealed-refrigerant units need certified recovery we don’t do in-house — ask and we’ll point you somewhere.
Smoke detectors
Ionizing detectors contain a sealed radioactive source. Most manufacturers take them back by mail.
Fluorescent tubes & bulbs
Mercury-containing lamps go through a household hazardous waste program, not an electronics recycler.
Damaged lithium batteries
Swollen, punctured or burned cells are a fire risk in transit. Call first — don’t put one in a box with other gear.
